When the cold wind blows like now; if I choose a country to go to fill the sweetness of life, I would like to choose one country in Europe. And the name of France suddenly sprang up in my head immediately. France is a beautiful country in term of views, luxurious, elegant architecture, and shopping places that everyone dreamed of going there at least once in a lifetime. Paris, the capital of France, is a familiar city that attracts tourists from all over the world. Someone say that Paris has nothing; but in the word of nothing, this city is filled with the atmosphere of sweet and romantic. The food in the lounge is various and delicious. There are burger, sandwich, sausage, fried noodles, fried rice, egg, dim sum, cornflakes, instant noodles, yogurt, milk, cakes, fruit juices, soft drinks, and various wines and other drinks.

แม้จะเป็นที่นั่งแบบ Economy แต่ที่นั่งก็ใหญ่ กว้าง นั่งสบาย ผังที่นั่งเป็นแบบ 3-4-3 ผมเลือกนั่งตรงแถวกลางจะได้เดินเข้าออกได้ง่าย ทุกที่มีจอส่วนตัวพร้อมรีโมท หูฟัง หมอน ผ้าห่ม เตรียมไว้ให้เรียบร้อยครับ ทำให้การเดินทางเป็นไปอย่างสะดวกสบาย นั่งไปชิวๆ เพลินๆ ไม่อึดอัดเลย
Even in Economy class, the seats are big and comfortable located in 3-4-3 pattern. I choose to sit near the aisle in order to walk out easily. Every seat has their own screen with remote controller, headphones, pillow, and blanket that are prepared in advance which make a trip to be comfortable. I sit and chill out by not feeling uncomfortable at all.

In the flight from Bangkok to Paris, the food served is both Western like pasta etc. and Thai dishes such as spicy Chinese sausage which is a good taste. There are a lot of drinks including coffee, tea, fruit juice, soft drinks, and special drinks like wine. The wine is not served in a glass, but serves in a bottle. Both white wine and red wine are available.
ระหว่างมื้อ หากหิวก็สามารถเดินไปขอรับขนมและเครื่องดื่มได้ครับ มีทั้งช็อคโกแลต, Meusli Bar, เพรสเซล และแซนวิช ในบางช่วงก็มีไอศกรีม Haagen-Dazs แจกด้วย กินไอติมบนฟ้า ช่างฟินอะไรเยี่ยงนี้ ^^
If you feel hungry during the flight, you can ask for some snacks and drinks. There are chocolate, Meusli Bar, pretzel, sandwich, and Haagen-Dazs ice cream. Eating ice cream in the sky is a wordless moment ^^.

ที่พักในกรุงปารีสครั้งนี้ ผมพักที่ โรงแรมเมอร์เคียว (Mercure Hotel PARIS CHAMPS ELYSEES) อยู่บนถนน Champs-Elysees ตัวโรงแรมไม่ใหญ่มาก ห้องขนาดกะทัดรัด แต่ข้อเสียคือผมได้พักที่ตึกด้านหลังซึ่งไม่มีบันได ทำให้ลำบากในการขนกระเป๋าขึ้นลงพอสมควร แต่ด้วยทำเลที่ตั้งชนะเลิศ ทำให้การพักครั้งนี้ดีพอสมควรเลย ลิ้งค์จองที่พัก -> Mercure Paris Champs Elysees Hotel
I stay at the Mercure Hotel PARIS CHAMPS ELYSEES located on Champs-Elysees. The hotel is not very big. The room is compact. The downside is that I stayed at a back building that has no staircase so it is difficult to carry the luggage up to the room. Its good location makes this hotel is good enough. Like other hotels in Europe that are not very large but the size of the room compacts and located in a good location. This hotel is about 300 meters from Metro station.

The breakfast at the hotel is not much variety which is European style but sausages and hash browns are very delicious. Yogurt with a little cow logo is very good so make I eat it in every morning Hahaha.
การเดินทางในกรุงปารีส สามารถเดินทางได้อย่างสะดวกสบายด้วย รถไฟใต้ดิน (Metro) ซึ่งกล่าวกันว่าภายในรัศมี 500 เมตร จะต้องมีสถานีรถไฟใต้ดินอย่างน้อย 1 สถานี ระบบรถไฟใต้ดิน (METRO) ในปารีสเปิดใช้มากว่า 100 ปี มีมากกว่า 14 สาย บวกกับสายย่อยอีก 2 สาย และมีสถานีกว่า 300 แห่ง เวลาให้บริการในวันอาทิตย์-พฤหัสบดี ตั้งแต่ 05:30 – 00:40 น. วันศุกร์-เสาร์จะให้บริการเวลา 05:30-01:40 น. จะเดินทางไปที่ใดต้องทำการบ้านกันมาให้ดีๆ นะครับ ไม่งั้นมีงงแน่นอนครับ เพราะสถานีเค้าเยอะมากจริงๆ ขอแนะนำให้โหลด Application ของการรถไฟใต้ดินปารีสชื่อ RATP ซึ่งใช้งานง่าย เพียงกรอกสถานีต้นทางและสถานีปลายทางก็จะรู้ทันทีว่าต้องขึ้นรถไฟสายไหนและใช้เวลาเท่าไหร่ รถไฟที่นี่ออกตรงเวลานะครับ
Travel in Paris is convenient. There is at least one subway station within 500-meter radius. The metro system (METRO) in Paris is more than 100 years old. There are more than 14 lines, plus two more sub lines and more than 300 stations. Service hours on Sunday – Thursday is 05:30 – 00:40 and on Friday – Saturday is available from 05:30 to 01:40. Travel to any place, we have to do some homework. If not you might be confused because of there are a lot of stations. I recommend you to download the application of the Paris Metro named RATP, which is easy to use. Just fill in the name of the originate and destination stations, you will know immediately which trains you should take and how much time. The train here is very punctual.

If you travel with many friends or travel many trips, I suggest you to buy a combo tickets in order to save money. The downside to the subway in Paris is its smell and the uncleanness. At many stations especially the large ones, there a lot of homeless that make not a good smell. The condition of the trains is not new. About the crime or rob, I never met but you should be careful all the time ><.

Every time you use Eurail France Pass, you have to make a reservation (specify seat) at ticket counter before departure which cost around 5 to 10 euro. And also do not forget to validate your ticket before using it that is very important to avoid high fines.

If you ask me where to take a picture of Eiffel Tower, I will recommend you at the corner from the Trocadero garden opposite the Eiffel Tower. A lot of people take a lot of pictures at this point all day because you will see Eiffel Tower very clearly. The building at the park is the Palais de Chaillot, which houses a variety of museums i.e. Cite de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine, Musee de l’Homme, and Musee National de la Marine. There are 3 viewpoints on Eiffel Tower located on the first floor, second floor and top floor. You can go up by walk or take the elevator. If you want to walk up (1,665 steps) stairs to the second floor, you have to buy the ticket at Escaliers-Stairs side with costs 7 Euro. If you want to take the elevator, you can choose to go to the second floor or the top floor. The fare is 11 Euro and 17 Euro, respectively. The first floor is 57 meters high from the ground. There are restaurant, souvenir shop, and cafe on the first floor. On the second floor, the tourists are very crowded because you can see Seine River and the major Parisian landmarks from this point.

Louvre Museum is a very huge museum. The building used to be the old medieval palace. There are more than 300,000 pieces of jewelry, which are very expensive. There are more than 9 million visitors per year.

Originally the Louvre Museum was a fortress and palace along the Seine River. It was built during the reign of Philip II. Until the French Revolution, Louvre Palace became a museum and a glass pyramid was erected in front of the building to make it look modern. This glass pyramid serves as the main entrance to the basement. There are many famous works inside such as Mona Lisa paintings from Leonardo da Vinci, statue of Venus etc. If you love this kind of works, it may take all day (or many days).

Definition 3: Champs-Elysees Shopping Street and the Arc de Triomphe.
Champs-Elysees is the street that we are well familiar with. It is a shopping venue with 2 km. long from Place de la Concorde Square to Arc de Triomphe. People are crowded all the time in this area. They come to enjoy with the various brand names such as Louis Vuitton, Cartier Lancel etc. A lot of restaurants, car showrooms, and cafes are located here. The restaurants arrange seat outside so customers can sit and chill out in the heart of Paris.

At the end of the street, there is another attraction of Paris that is Arc de Triomphe. It was built when 1st Napoleon won in the Battle of Austerlitz in 1805. This gate highs 50 meters located in the center of the roundabout where 12 main streets merged. It was created to commemorate the soldiers and brave fighters in the French Revolution and the Napoleonic Wars. On the gate, there are carved statues of victory in various battles and also carved the names of generals in the army inside the gate. Underneath the gate is the tomb of an unknown soldier who died in World War I. On the ground, there are small fires along the walk way. You can go up to see the view from the top by walking up to 284 steps.

ในวันที่ผมไปมีพิธีด้านใน ทำให้ไม่สามารถเข้าไปชมภายในโบสถ์ได้ แต่โชคดีที่หอคอยคู่ยังเปิดให้ขึ้นไปชมวิว ซึ่งมีการจำกัดจำนวนคนเข้าเป็นรอบๆ เพราะทางเดินขึ้นนั้นค่อนข้างแคบ เลยต้องใช้เวลาในการรอคิวพอสมควร หอคอยนี้สูง 70 เมตร หรือเทียบเท่ากับตึก 20 ชั้น มีบันไดทั้งหมด 387 ขั้น ซื้อตั๋วที่ด้านบนในราคา 8.5 Euro กว่าจะขึ้นถึงด้านบน เหนื่อยใช่เล่นเลยครับ ><
On the day I went there, I cannot visit the church because there was a ceremony inside. Fortunately, the twin tower was open, so I can go up to see the view. They limit the number of people who go up according to the quite narrow pathway, so it takes time to queue. This tower is 70 meters high or equivalent to a 20-storey building with 387 steps in total. You can buy tickets on the tower which cost 8.5 Euros. Going to the top made me feel tired ><.
แต่พอเห็นวิวจากด้านบนแล้ว ความเหนื่อยหายเป็นปลิดทิ้งเลยทีเดียว
But the view from the top made my fatigue totally disappeared.
อีกหนึ่งสัญลักษณ์ที่เห็นได้ตามเสาต่างๆ คือสัตว์ในเทพนิยาย อย่างกากอยล์ (Gargoyle) ซึ่งเป็นหินที่แกะเป็นรูปอัปลักษณ์ยื่นออกไปจากสิ่งก่อสร้างที่มีรางและช่องให้น้ำจากหลังคาไหลลงมา
Another symbol seen on the pillars is a fairytale animal named Gargoyle, a ugly stone, extends out of a building with rails and a channel of water from the roof.
หลังจากที่เดินขึ้น-ลงบันไดมาจนเหนื่อย ผมได้แวะหาอะไรทานเอาแรงสักนิด ตั้งเป้าไว้ตั้งแต่ก่อนมาที่นี่ คือ อยากนั่งทานอาหารแล้วจิบช็อคโกแลตร้อนๆที่หัวมุมถนน ดูวิวเพลินๆ เหมือนที่เห็นในหนัง 555 ว่าแล้วเลยขอลองร้านหัวมุมที่มองเห็นวิวมหาวิหาร Norte-Dame ซะหน่อย โดยเมนูที่ผมสั่ง คือ แซนวิชแฮม ไข่ดาว ขนมปังกรอบๆ กับผักสดๆ ฟินเฟ่อร์…และ ช็อคโกแลตร้อน รสชาติเข้มข้น ละมุนลิ้นสุดๆ ^^
After walking up – down the stairs until exhausted, I have to stop for a moment to find something to eat. Before going to Paris, I aim to have food and enjoy hot chocolate at the corner of the street and watch the view like the scene I saw in the movie hahaha. I decided to try the corner restaurant overlooking the Norte- Dame. I ordered sandwiches, crispy buns, and fresh vegetables. Hot chocolate here is intense flavor.

Inside the palace, there are many significant halls like Hall of Mirrors, the most beautiful hall, that is used as the passage of Louis XIV and used as a meeting place for the vassals of length up to 73 meters. There are 17 golden glazed windows that you can overlook the pool and garden below. On the ceiling, there are paintings and chandeliers. This room is used as a signatory to the Treaty of Versailles in order to end World War I between the Allies and Germany in 1919.

The King’s Grand Apartment is a 7-room suite to serve the guests of Louis XIV. Every room is named after the Roman god i.e. Apollo Salon which is named after the Apollo Goddess, Queen’s Grand Apartment which is the bedroom and living room of the queen. In the room, there is a small hidden door that can be opened to the private inner room where the queen Marie Antoinette used to rest and play with his daughter. The middle of the building is the bedroom of Louis XIV. The Royal Chapel and the Royal Opera are on the North wing. On the South, there are Museum of French History and Battles Gallery that shows the story of the battles over the past 1,400 years through oil paintings.

The romantic is not end now! In the evening, I went to dinner on a cruise that sail along Seine river. The atmosphere is very romantic because we sat privately by not sharing the table with others. During the vintage car trip, the car pass through the Concorde Square that is octagonal area with obelisk pillar. This pillar is an ancient one that more than 3,200 years old. Definition 8: Visit a city of fairy tales…Strasbourg
Other than Paris, I also traveled to the neighboring city named Strasbourg which located in the northeast of France. Strasbourg is in Alsace which locate near the border of Germany so it is influenced by culture from Germany including language, ethnicity, cuisine, and architecture. This town is so lovely and unique.

Traveling to Strasbourg, I traveled by TGV train which ran between Paris East Station and Strasbourg Station, I used France Pass as mentioned earlier. The train departs every 1-1.5 hours. Travel time is around 2 hours 20 minutes. Don’t forget to reserve the seat in advance and validate the ticket at the station before travel.

Traveling in Strasbourg, we can choose trams or mini tram or Batorama boat or walk. I chose to walk because the attractions in the Old Town are close to each other so I can walk around.

There are many attractions in Strasbourg such as Petite France where there are German-style wooden house called Half-Timbered that locate along the river. This city is very colorful and lovely like home presented in cartoon. There are many cafes, restaurants and shops.

Couvets Bridge was originally used as a defense point. There are bridges over the river and 4 brick towers. The connecting point between bridges is a good location for taking picture.
จัตุรัสใจกลางเมือง Kleber ที่รายล้อมด้วยตึกต่างๆ มากมาย มีลานน้ำพุ และอนุสาวรีย์ของนายพล Jean-Baptiste Kleber ซึ่งมีความสำคัญในการปฏิวัติฝรั่งเศส จึงตั้งชื่อจัตุรัสนี้ตามชื่อของท่าน วันที่ผมไปเป็นวันหยุดของที่นี่ ผู้คนเลยมาพักผ่อนกันมากมาย อีกทั้งยังมี Street Show หลากหลายให้ความบันเทิงใจแก่ผู้คนได้เป็นอย่างดี
Kleber’s central square that is surrounded by many buildings, has fountain and monument of Jean-Baptiste Kleber who was important in the French Revolution. So they name this square by his name. The day I went was a holiday, so a lot of people come to relax here. Moreover, there are many street shows to entertain the people here.

Normally when fly with full service airline, we will get hot food automatically. But Air France has a special service that the passengers are able to order from a hot meal menu (but have to pay more or redeem the points) which can be accessed from this link. – A La Carte Menu – Air France -> A La Carte Menu – Air France . The menu I choose come from the famous French restaurant named LENÔTRE. It is seafood menu served with red wine. Another dish is the tradition menu that meat lovers should not miss. The menu is changed every month. ^^ Another meal is still the same that are omelet and bread served before the landing at Suvarnabhumi airport.

If you want a seat next to the window to enjoy the view or the seat that you can move out easily, I recommend you to select a seat before check in and make online check in because you will not have to wait for the queue to load the baggage at the counter for a long time.

When you reach at the airport, you should find the Sky Priority lane in case you fly on Premuim Economy class or Business class. So, you do not have to wait for a long time.
และยังเข้า Lounge ได้อีกด้วยนะครับ เล้าจน์ของ Air France ชื่อ Salon Lounge ของกินมีหลากหลาย ผู้คนไม่พลุกพล่าน มีอาหารและของว่างให้เลือกมากมาย
You can also access to the Lounge. Air France Lounge is Salon lounge that serve a variety of food. People are not crowded and there are variety of snacks.

Paris is the city of the dream of many people. For me, even coming to Paris this time is the second time, but I will come again and again because there are many things to find out here.
